Folakemi Fatogbe, a banker and risk management expert was a former Director, Risk Management at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN). She is the Chief Executive Officer/Founder, De-Risking Lab, and the Creative Director/ Founder of Oyaato. Folakemi has served in various capacities on a number Boards including: The Risk Management Association of Nigeria (RIMAN) where she currently serves as the Chairman of the Board; the banking industry-wide Chief Risk Officers’ Forum (The CRO Forum) where she served as the pioneer Chairman; She is also a Director of Fountain Holdings Limited, the investment arm of the Ekiti State Government. She is also a member of the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) and the Chartered Institute of Bankers Nigeria.

Having worked in the UK for nearly twenty years, Folakemi was head-hunted into her latter role of Special Adviser to the CBN Governor on Banking Reforms and Risk Management in the heat of the 2008/9 Global Financial Crisis in which she played a leading role in the development and execution of the strategies that were deployed to avert a banking crisis in Nigeria. The Bank subsequently earned a number of international awards for how it handled the Global Financial Crisis. She subsequently established the Bank’s inaugural Risk Management Department in 2010 and took on the added role of the Bank’s pioneer Director, Risk Management.
